Learning a second language can be an essential part of everyday life. At South Texas College all the tools you need to learn English are at your disposal with our ESL classes. This language program provides students with all the components of learning a new language, from basic pronunciation to advanced writing and workplace communication. Multiple learning levels are available, so waste no time and get started by contacting STC today.
Placement Exam
We recommend students take a placement exam before registering to determine their appropriate level. The exam is administered:
Pecan Plaza (McAllen)
- Tuesday mornings at 10 am
- Evening placement tests are every second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 pm
Starr Campus (Rio Grande City)
- Tuesday morning at 9 am
Once you are on our booking site select "ESL Placement Test" and choose the date you would like to take the exam. Fill out the rest of the form (including your name, email, and telephone number) and press the "Book" button. You will receive a notification via text or email to verify your reservation.
