Programs in Architecture & Construction

The Architectural & Engineering Design Technology program prepares students for careers in the Architectural, Engineering, & Construction (AEC) industries. With our Certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree programs, students can explore obtaining positions such as architectural drafter, civil drafter, or CAD technician.

An architect designs the built environment, creating everything from homes and commercial buildings to public spaces and urban landscapes. The Architecture program offers an associate degree, giving you opportunities to transfer to a 4-year bachelor’s degree program. STC can be your first step to become an architect or explore other related careers in architectural engineering, construction management, interior design and similar disciplines.

The Construction Supervision Program prepares students for careers in the supervision and management roles in various aspects of residential, commercial and institutional construction projects. With our Certificate and Associate of Applied Science degree programs, students can explore obtaining positions such as foreman, assistant superintendent, superintendent, or project manager.

The Electrician Technology program prepares students for careers in the installation, connection, testing and maintenance of electrical systems with emphasis on residential, commercial and industrial projects. With our programs students can explore obtaining positions such as electrician apprentice, utility worker, electrical maintenance worker or inspector with government agencies.

The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program prepares students for careers in the service, repair, maintenance and installation of heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment. With our Certificate and Associate of Applied Science programs, students can explore obtaining positions such as HVAC technician, HVAC installer, refrigeration technician, HVAC duct installer or HVAC chiller mechanic.
