Competency-Based Education (CBE)

STC’s Competency Based-Education (CBE) lets you earn an education at an affordable price and at your own pace.

Instead of attending scheduled classroom sessions for a full semester, a CBE course has a series of online assessments. You get to choose how quickly to move ahead, and the course is done when you've mastered all competencies.

If you successfully finish the course within the first three weeks (80% or higher in all competencies), you can register for another CBE course at additional cost. Plus, you may receive college credit toward your degree for qualifying previous work, education and military training.
