Political Science
Political Science is the study of how governments and political systems work. The Associate of Arts degree in Political Science is designated for students planning to transfer to a baccalaureate degree in political science or related field at four-year institutions. The curriculum includes general academic courses and electives that enable students who intend to major in political science, public affairs or public administration to transfer to four-year institutions.
The required academic cooperative course gives students "hands-on" experiences working in fields related to Political Science. Completing a degree in political science can expand opportunities in teaching, law school and other related areas of public policy.
