Emerging Scientist Symposium
The Emerging Scientist Symposium (ESS) fosters and promotes psychological science, scientific thinking, literacy and inquiry/research skills among emerging student researchers. We want to assist our students in furthering their education and helping to develop marketable skills that are needed in many advanced academic programs and across the workforce.
Presenters will consist of STC students, both traditional and dual credit, as well as younger students (K-8th graders) from our community. Students will present their original scientific work in a professional and supportive setting, facilitating information exchange among peers that will enrich all involved. Various departments will be represented and highlight how other disciplines converge with psychological science to increase our understanding.
The ESS will feature a scientific poster session, speaker sessions, a psychological panel discussion, and departmental information. Attendees from STC and our surrounding community can expect to leave the symposium with new information and a better understanding of the psychological science discipline and how sciences contribute to our daily lives.
This year's Emerging Scientist Symposium will feature young scientists from St. Paul Lutheran School in McAllen, TX.
This year's symposium is made possible due to our amazing sponsors! We thank our sponsors for all they provide for our participating students.
