Application
One of the first steps you'll take in your college adventure is the completion of your application. You can apply online by simply following the link below:

To finalize your application, you will later need to:
- Submit Transcripts to the Office of Admissions and Records - Contact your previous school(s) to request your official transcript(s) be sent to admissions@southtexascollege.edu or P.O. BOX 9701, McAllen TX 78502-9701.
- Immunizations - Submit proof of immunization for bacterial meningitis if you are under the age of 22.
Testing
It’s not uncommon for the state to mandate exams prior to enrolling at college. If you are required to take a reading, writing and/or math assessment test ( TSI Exam), log on to the STC Marketplace and select a testing site/center to register for an online or in-person TSI exam:

If you’re an online student or have difficulty attending a test site, or if you reside outside of Texas or the country, please contact the Student Assessment Center for more information.
Advising
At South Texas College we’re prepared to help you along the way. Our advisors will assist you in identifying test requirements, managing your degree plan, and ensuring that you are aware of campus tools and resources that can help you become a successful student. Paying for College
Your payment for tuition and fees is one of the final steps in the enrollment process. South Texas College offers accommodating payment options to get you ready for class.

New Student Orientation
As a new student you’ll want to familiarize yourself with South Texas College during the new student orientation, First Year Connection. You’ll learn about how to get involved with student life on campus and about other college services. These sessions are held before each semester and are scheduled according to division/major. Choose an available orientation session by visiting the Welcome Center or simply sign up online.
