South Texas College provides the opportunity for kids to explore and expand their interests and skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Our diverse camp offerings are designed to keep minds sharp while having fun. Bring your child so they can get involved in a wide range of camps.

ArchiAdventure - 3D Printing in Architecture

This camp focuses on technical renderings and animation in the architectural field. Students will learn how to create realistic 3D visualizations and animations of architectural projects using professional software. They will develop high-quality renders and videos, gaining a clear understanding of how rendering and animation are utilized in architecture. Additionally, students will design and create a 3D architectural model in TinkerCAD. Their models will be prepared, exported to 3D printing software, and brought to life through 3D printing.

The Arduino Innovators Camp offers an exciting, hands-on experience where students will dive into the world of robotics and programming using the Keyestudio Upgraded 4WD BT Multi-purpose Smart Car V2.0 Kit. This dynamic camp teaches the fundamentals of Arduino programming, basic electronics, and robotics engineering. Participants will assemble their own 4WD robot car, learning simple construction techniques while exploring key concepts like line tracking, obstacle avoidance, ultrasonic ranging, Bluetooth communication, and IR remote controls.
With 17 guided learning projects ranging from basic to advanced, students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they program their robots to perform various tasks. The camp fosters creativity and technical proficiency, empowering participants to expand their projects and experiment with additional sensors. No prior experience is needed—just a passion for building, coding, and innovation!

MechLab & Fluid Power Engineering

The MechLab & Fluid Power Camp is a hands-on program introducing students to automation technology, industrial production, and fluid power systems. Using MechLab from Festo, participants will explore real-world production processes, learning to plan technical systems, develop electric and pneumatic circuits, and understand control loop systems.
Students will also dive into Fluid Power, focusing on the basics of hydraulics and pneumatics, working with actuators, sensors, and controllers to understand how fluid dynamics power industrial machinery.
