Call for Entrepreneurial Proposals
Scientific Poster Presentation for Entrepreneurial Projects BES 2025
The Binational Educational Symposium invites students to participate in the Scientific Poster Exhibition of Entrepreneurial Projects 2025, under the theme "Innovation and Creativity at the Border."
Objective
To foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity through the presentation of projects that take advantage of the economic, cultural, and technological advantages of the border region between Texas and Tamaulipas.
Participation Guidelines
- Participants: Undergraduate students from South Texas College, Texas A&M, Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas, and entrepreneurs from Region One partner ISDs.
- Teams: Individual or in teams of up to 2 members.
- Mentoring: Teams can have faculty advisors to help in developing their presentation
- Categories:
- Technological Innovation (Engineering, patents, innovation models)
- Social Entrepreneurship (Humanities)
- Border Economic Development Projects
- Sustainable Environmental Solutions
- Poster Requirements:
- Must include Title, objective, innovation and creativity applied, methodology or project development, expected or achieved results, impact on the border region (Texas-Tamaulipas).
- Format: Vertical, size 90 cm x 120 cm.
- Language: Spanish or English.
- Important Dates:
- Registration deadline: March 3rd, 2025
- Notification of acceptance: March 7th, 2025
- Poster exhibition: March 26th, 2025 at South Texas College – Pecan Campus
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Innovation and originality of the project.
- Application of creativity in the proposed solution.
- Feasibility and sustainability.
- Potential impact on the border region.
Prizes
- Recognition for the three best posters.
- Opportunity to present the project to a panel of experts and potential investors.
