Emergency Management

South Texas College Emergency Management supports the mission of campus safety by using an all-hazards approach in preparing the campus population through planning, training, and response through all phases of an emergency that may impact the college community.

What we do:

  • Maintain the multi-hazard emergency operations plan and annexes.
  • Oversee the RAVE emergency alert notification system and coordinate emergency alerts for the college.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Incident Management System and other federal and state emergency management regulations.
  • Participate in and conduct exercises that test plans and refine decision making processes based on the evaluation of the results.
